Greta Eleonora Thunberg, born Greta Tintin Ernman on 3rd of January, 2003 was born in Stockholm Sweden. Parents are Svante Thunberg an actor and Malena Ernman, an opera singer. Thunberg was a student at a Stockholm-based private school between 2010 and 2018. The 9th grade she completed, with outstanding grades in 2019. Thunberg is diagnosed with Aspergers OCD, a disorder of obsessive compulsiveness as well as selective mutism. Aspergers is a condition where individuals concentrate their energy and attention exclusively on a single topic or viewpoint. Thunberg has chosen climate change as her focus. In 2011, when Thunberg was 8 year old, she realized the issue and was unable to understand why the public weren't taking it more seriously. Thunberg believes that the environmental crisis represents a major threat to humanity. She uses graphic analogies to express her concern and is often blunt with business and political leaders about their inability to coordinate steps. In August of 2018, Thunberg was able to take decisive action. Thunberg sat quietly outside of the Swedish parliament, boycotted class and held a placard that said "School Strike For Climate". The goal of her protest was to convince the politicians to take action on climate change. Swedish media captured Thunbergs strike and the message was spread. Thousands of students around all over the world joined the #FridaysforFuture protest, avoiding the school day on Friday to protest against climate changes. The climate activists across the globe came together to coordinate the initial Global Strike for Climate. This was a huge success. More than 1.6 million participants across over 125 countries participated.
