April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music in the 7th grade in which she began guitar and piano lessons. The first song she wrote was called Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. She spent a lot of the time of 14 writing songs and practicing music. Over the next few months, she began taking writing trips along with her father in LA in addition to NY. April also included additional topics in her track, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal ideas. Lockhart has her own fan base and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Since she was born without a left hand, she has a significant part to play in her. But it's not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on Instagram, but she isn't making it the focal point of her story. What message is it sending? It's this that we all share multiple identities and are way more diverse than we think that we're. Lockhart speaks via video in Nashville. "I do not intend to let it define my personal life. I'm not looking to only be known as a disability expert. It doesn't impact my everyday routine. I continue to do the things I normally would and have adjusted to the limitations of my disability. Because it's part of who I am It's a topic worthy of talking about. Lockhart has served as an excellent source of inspiration for her female friends regarding acceptance of oneself. She still admits having gone through a series of phases with her physique, feeling uncomfortable in certain situations wearing outfits that showcased the arms of her. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she'd like. And she posts her photos on social media. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll ever get there," she said. That's true of everyone regardless of their insecurity. I think it's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
