She was born March 29th 1985, in Roswell New Mexican. Her given name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican child of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson was birthed in Mexico. She is Mexican roots, yet is American by nationality. Since her early years, her desire to be active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her secondary education. While she was in high school, she took home at the New Mexico state golf tournament. Her volleyball skills were also acknowledged at the national stage. She attended an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. As a senior, she took home the top prize in every single tournament that she played in. In her time at college she was awarded her Conference USA Player of The Year award and the UTEP Female Sports Athelete Award.
